Men, sex and age
Sex is important at any age, especially the older we get, but men may need more time to get excited enough to have sexual intercourse. At least needing more time to get excited means more time for sex, once we have it.
For me, this was a new feeling, waiting so long to get excited. By then, ejaculation is no longer at the center of attention (although it’s very nice to feel like “it” is coming…). After an orgasm, men also need a much longer to regain an erection, but every man is different in the end, especially the older men from the young. Many men need to wait for only 10 minutes, others need a few hours, while others may only feel their erection return the next day.
During male climax, there are two phases:
1. the man will feel the ejaculation building and
In older men, the first phase is either very short or much longer that usual, while the second phase is shorter than when they were younger, and the amount of fluid decreases. At this age, the two phases tend to merge together into one seamless phase.
Here’s one myth that should explain this reaction: for an orgasm, you have to have an erection and ejaculate.
This is simply wrong: without erection and ejaculation, there can certainly be an orgasm! Many men (which, by reason of a nerve injury, for example, or through an accident or surgery) can not get an erection, yet are still able to experience an orgasm. The reason? The team of nerves responsible for the erection are the nerves that carry stimuli to the penis. Even if no ejaculation is possible – because the prostate is removed, for example – an orgasm is usually still possible in most men.
