Men don´t like cosmetics

Men are careless with personal prevention and care, according to a recent survey. In fact, most men use almost no care when it comes to taking care of themselves. These results were presented in a representative survey among 1,047 men, age 14.
During a little poll among acquaintances, however, the exact same thing was found; most men shave every day, but that’s about it for personal care.
For example, if you were to give a man a really good cream for Christmas, the cream would be immediately distributed to the face, including the eyelids and the area around the eyes. Then, when the cream gets in the eyes and starts to burn, men now feel that cosmetics are complete nonsense.
The survey also showed that 60 percent of men use “as good as any” care, with approximately 10 percent of men saying they would mantain a basic daily routine if they had the appropriate products to do so.
Also, special care products, such as moisturizing masks and scrubs, don’t seem to be popular in a man’s world; only a mere 5.8 percent of the respondents said they had used such a critical care skin product at least once in the past three months.

I have been married for over 20 years and my husband would never use lotion or moisturizer on his skin until the last few years. He would tell me “it’s greasy” — He looked at lotion as if it were only for women. It took me some time, but I finally convinced him that lotion and moisturizers are for skin, not just for women.
