fruitsIt is normal to try and look your best at all ages, and one of the best ways to keep looking good is to maintain your health. There are some foods that are particularly good for helping you keep a youthful appearance. Most signs of aging, such as wrinkles, sagging and sunspots are skin-related and these foods boost your skin’s resilience and appearance.

Spinach and other leafy greens
Leafy green vegetables and beans are powerful weapons in your arsenal to fight the effects of aging. They are packed with compounds that prevent damage due to day to day wear and tear on your skin.

Sunflower seeds
These tiny seeds contain a large amount of vitamin E, and not much is better than vitamin E when it comes to taking good care of your skin. Vitamin E helps fight free radicals, which can cause damage.

Grape juice
Stroke, heart attack and sagging skin don’t stand a chance against grape juice. Antioxidants in grape juice help your skin remain elastic, flexible and young looking.

Cheese
Cheese is a great way to get the calcium necessary for healthy teeth, and healthy teeth are necessary to beat back the effects of aging. In addition to helping maintain the appearance of your teeth, cheese can help keep your entire mouth healthy.

Sweet potatoes
Orange foods like sweet potatoes and carrots are extremely high in beta-carotene which builds up skin and helps protect it from damaging ultra-violet rays from the sun.
