teaDr. Carrie Ruxton, a professional nutritionist has authored an analysis that she compiled of 47 unconnected research tests studying the effects of tea, coffee and cocoa. According to her interpretation of the results obtained from the 47 research tests, she deduced that drinking as much as 8 cups of tea during the day would improve your health.

According to Dr. Carrie Ruxton, drinking tea is actually a health booster that has finally been proven from the results of these tests to actually increase brain capabilities and extend your life span. Additional health pluses for drinking tea or coffee comes from the caffeine which is really a health additive as the antioxidants and flavonoids in caffeine can reduce risks of heart attack or stroke.

Caffeine also makes tea and coffee drinkers feel more aware of their surroundings and are more pleasant in their behaviour. According to Dr. Carrie Ruxton, the most effective level of caffeine for an average person is 400 milligrams a day or the same as drinking eight cups of tea or four cups of coffee.

There is, of course, a stronger concentration of caffeine in coffee than in tea. It is also recommended that children could improve their thinking by taking 95 milligrams of caffeine a day or the same as two cups of tea or one weak cup of coffee.
