Cheek Implants: Not Just For Females

testosterone_manIf I asked you to name the most common plastic surgery procedures that men have done, cheek implants would probably be one of the last things that comes to mind. While it’s true that cheek augmentation is most often performed on women, more and more men are also opting for this procedure.

A More Chiseled Appearance

For some men, cheek implants can help give them a more chiseled and angular face. A-list celebrities like Robert Pattinson, Colin Firth, Brad Pitt, and many others all have naturally prominent cheek bones. But if you weren’t born with them, then male cheek implants may be a good option to consider.

A More Youthful Appearance

During our youth, both genders have fuller cheeks (sometimes referred to as “baby fat”). As we get older, we lose the soft tissue in this area. No one wants to have fat cheeks, but you don’t want to have too little either. Naturally prominent cheek bones help disguise this sign of aging.

If your cheek bones are deficient, then you may want to consider some sort of augmentation. There are now non-surgical options like Juvederm injections which can help, but for those whom prefer a permanent solution, then malar or submalar implants would probably be your best bet.
